Venezuela is a long-term political and trade partner of Russia. The trade relations between the two countries were formalised in 2002 with the establishment of the Russian-Venezuelan High-Level Intergovernmental Commission (HLC). At the moment, the trade turnover between the two countries is on the rise.
IMPORTO has a close relationship with the Russian-Venezuelan Chamber of Commerce. This allows us to offer to our customers not only cargo delivery services from Venezuela to Russia and vice versa, but we also offer help with establishing trade relations, finding business partners and suppliers, organizing and conducting negotiations, consulting on the nuances of the laws of Venezuela and the cultural traditions of the country.

IMPORTO offers cargo delivery from Venezuela to Russia by sea, air, and by means of multimodal/combined shipping.
Venezuela has access to the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.
The agreement between Russia and Venezuela on cooperation with respect to shipping by sea and joint collaboration in that industry (Autumn 2023) envisages the countries’ combined efforts on the subject.
As of April 2024, there are no direct container shipping lines between the two countries, therefore, shipping by sea is available via the following routes:
— sea freight via the Brazilian port of Santos to the port of St. Petersburg;
— sea freight with container replacement in a port of Turkey with further delivery to the ports of either St. Petersburg or Novorossiysk;
— for certain groups of goods, shipping is available via the ports of the Baltic states for the further transportation in a container or by road to Russia.
There are direct flights between Russia and Venezuela. The direct connection was launched in 2021, and, in the summer of 2023, the flight connection via Cuba was added as an option. Now a Russian and a Venezuelan airlines operate regular flights Caracas (CCS) – Havana (HAV) – Moscow (airports VKO, SVO, DME).
The cargo can also be delivered to St Petersburg (airport Pulkovo): either via Moscow or through the Caracas (CCS) – Istanbul (IST) – St Petersburg (LED) route.
Air delivery of cargo is possible to airports of Ekaterinburg -Koltsovo (SVX) and Novosibirsk – Tolmachevo (OVB) with either customs clearance at the Moscow airport or arranging a customs transit at the Moscow airport to the destination airport.
IMPORTO offers cargo receipt operations at the Sheremetyevo airport (SVO), the Domodedovo airport (DME), the Vnukovo airport (VKO), the Pulkovo airport (LED), the port of St. Petersburg (RULED) and the port of Novorossiysk (RUNVS) with customs clearance and onward delivery to the consignee destination within Russia.
There is also an option of assistance with arranging for connection between international and domestic flights.
