Mandatory product labeling with DataMatrix codes

In view of the fact that new requirements have come into force in the Russian Federation for the labeling of certain groups of goods our company offers the service of marking shoes, clothes and other goods to meet new requirements.

How it works?

The marking process is as follows:

• 1)the importer needs to register in the monitoring CHESTNY ZNAK (HONEST SIGN) system as a trader;
• 2) ) based on the data received from the supplier (GTIN – Global Trade Item Number) labels are formed in the CHESTNY ZNAK system, which are then applied to the goods;
• 3) if the sender has not provided the GTIN number, the importer himself has to enter the data about each product into CHESTNY ZNAK system;

The process of marking the goods of our customers takes place in a specially equipped warehouse in Lithuania. Up to 50 thousand items per day can be marked in the warehouse.

Shoe marking

In accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of July 5, 2019 No. 860 “On approval of the Rules for marking footwear with identification means and the peculiarities of introducing a state information system for monitoring the turnover of goods subject to mandatory labeling with identification means in relation to footwear”, taking into account the changes introduced by the Government Decree of February 29, 2020 No. 216:

Shoe goods are subject to mandatory labeling by means of identification of shoe goods when imported into the Russian Federation for the purpose of their further sale on the territory of the Russian Federation.

The import of unmarked footwear to the territory of the Russian Federation was only possible until 07/01/2020.

The best option for applying marks is to apply them at the supplier’s warehouse, or at the consolidation warehouse of a logistics company.

Option 1 (No GTIN):

• registration of the importing company in the “CHESTNY ZNAK” system;
• preparation of a descriptive part for a batch of shoes to obtain the “CHESTNY ZNAK” marking;
• registration of a batch of shoes in the ” CHESTNY ZNAK” system, obtaining control (identification) marks (CIMs);
• checking the batch by the quantity and assortment at the consolidation warehouse;
• CIMs application for each unit of goods;
• forming KITU and KM;
• preparation of documents for customs clearance.

Option 2 (GTIN present)

• рregistration of the importing company in the “CHESTNY ZNAK” system;
• checking the batch by the quantity and assortment at the consolidation warehouse;
• registering a batch of shoes based on GTIN numbers in the “CHESTNY ZNAK” system directly at the consolidation warehouse, obtaining control (identification) marks (CIMs);
• CIMs application for each unit of goods;
• forming KITU and KM;
• пpreparation of documents for customs clearance.

The cost of applying marking per unit of product depends on the selected option of work and the number of products in the batch.
