General cargoes, as well as part of bulk cargo, are transported from India in containers. Container freight from India is carried out on FOB terms (ports of Mumbai / Nava Sheva / Calcutta / Chennai). Pick up of containerized cargo from any other city of India is also possible (EXW).
From August 2022, Importo is offering a direct Nava Sheva/Chennai – St Petersburg container shipping service.
Transit time to the port of Saint-Petersburg is on average 30-35 days. Containers further follow to final consignee either by road, or by railways.
Airfreight from India is mostly effected from international airports of Delhi (DEL), Mumbai (BOM), Calcutta (CCU), Bangalore (BLR), Chennai (MAA).
Option 1.
Direct airfreight of goods by passenger flights from India to Russia.
ТSuch transportations (including connections) are carried out on a regular basis and have the most attractive cost in the normal season.

Importo Company arranges goods receipt with further delivery to consignees, as well as customs clearance of goods at the airports of Sheremetyevo (SVO), Domodedovo (DME), Vnukovo (VKO), Pulkovo (LED).
Connection of international flights with domestic flights is also possible.
Option 2.
Airfreight from India to Vilnius airport (VNO) or other EC airports with further consolidation in Vilnius (Helsinki) and road transport to Russia. With this delivery option there is a possibility to apply the required markings, as well as to perform other actions with the goods at the intermediate consolidation warehouse in the EU. From March 2022, this option is only suitable for consignments that are not subject to EU sanctions.
Option 1.
On average, direct air freight from India to Russia takes 2-4 days after receiving the cargo at the departure airport terminal, taking into account terminal handling in the Russian Federation.
Option 2.
Multimodal transportation of goods from India to Moscow and St. Petersburg via EU airports takes on average 10-14 days after receiving the goods at the air terminal till delivery by truck to the bonded warehouse
The import of samples of goods is required for laboratory tests in accredited laboratories of the EAEU (Eurasian Economic Union) within the procedures of confirming the compliance of goods with the requirements of the EAEU technical regulations.
