IMPORTO provides cargo transportation services between Colombia and the Russian Federation.

MUTUAL TRADE BETWEEN RUSSIA AND COLOMBIA

The political and economic relations between Russia and Colombia have been evolving in the course of the 20th century. In 1994, the countries signed a core relationship agreement, and in 2008 the Colombian-Russian Chamber of Commerce was established.
At the moment, the trade turnover between the two countries is on a steady rise.
IMPORTO is working closely with its partners in the Latin America which allows us to offer to our customers not just the shipment services from Colombia, but we also help with establishing trade channels, finding business partners and suppliers, organizing and conducting negotiations.


The following goods are currently being imported from Colombia to Russia:

  • - animal products (beef, offal, dairy products, eggs);
  • - plant products (coffee, flowers, banana, nuts);
  • - sugar;
  • - metals and products made from metal.

The following goods are currently being exported from Russia to Colombia:

  • - mineral products;
  • - chemical industry products;
  • - metals and products made from metal;
  • - wood, wood pulp and cellulose products, paper products;
  • - machinery, equipment and electronics.

CARGO DELIVERY FROM COLOMBIA TO RUSSIA

SEA FREIGHT FROM COLOMBIA TO RUSSIA

Colombia is on the coast of both the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea and has connections via sea with the Eurasia.

The main means of cargo delivery between Colombia and Russia is via sea freight. It is also a more economical and reliable option.

Colombia has several international sea ports. The largest of them are: Cartagena (COCTG), Buenaventura (COBUN) and Barranquilla (COBAQ).

Cartagena is the second largest port in freight turnover in South America. Such leading sea freight companies as OOCL, MAERSK, CMA-CGM, ONE operate from the Columbian ports. There are no direct sea freight routes between Russia and Colombia. Cargo delivery to Russia is arranged via transshipment through third countries. There is also an option of road shipment to the Brazilian port of Santos from where the cargo can be shipped directly to the Russian port of St. Petersburg.

AIR FREIGHT FROM COLOMBIA TO RUSSIA

There are a number of international airports in Colombia. The El Dorado International Airport (BOG) in Bogotá operates both passenger and cargo flights, and is a substantial hub for international and domestic flights.

Columbia also has international airports in Medellin (José Maria Cordova International Airport, MDE) and in Cartagena (Rafael Nunez International Airport, CTG).
