The following are the options for cargo transportation through Turkey:
• Sea freight from Ireland via Turkey. Repacking (container replacement) is required at the Turkish transshipment port (Istanbul). From Turkey, the container is shipped to the port of Novorossiysk, where the cargo clears customs, with a further option of reloading it into a truck for further transportation within Russia.
• Road freight from Ireland to the Russian Federation. The truck takes the ferry to one of the following ports: of Cherbourg, Zeebrugge, Rotterdam, from where it proceeds to Turkey through the EU. In Turkey, at the transit terminal, the cargo is reloaded into another vehicle for its further shipment by ferry to Novorossiysk (Tuapse). On arrival to the Russian Federation, the vehicle with the cargo,as part of the customs transit procedure, proceeds to the temporary storage warehouse, nominated by the consignee, for customs clearance.
• Multimodal/combined transportation of goods from Ireland to Russia. The cargo is transported from Ireland to Istanbul by ferry and road for the further loading into a container and shipping to the port of Novorossiysk.
