CARGO DELIVERY FROM GREECE VIA TURKEY

An alternative option for goods transportation between Russia and Greece is a transit through Turkey. If direct logistics are not possible through European ports and countries, this route is the optimal solution for Russian foreign trade participants.
The following are the options for cargo transportation through Turkey:

  1. sea freight from Greece via Turkey. Repacking (container replacement) is required at the Turkish transshipment port (Istanbul). From Turkey, the container is shipped to the Russian port of Novorossiysk, where the cargo clears customs, with a further option of reloading it onto a truck for further transportation within Russia;
  2. road freight from Greece to the Russian Federation. At the Turkish transit terminal, the goods are reloaded into another vehicle for further shipping by ferry to Novorossiysk (Tuapse). On arrival to the Russian Federation, the vehicle with the cargo, as a part of the customs transit procedure, proceeds to the temporary storage warehouse, nominated by the consignee, for customs clearance;
  3. multimodal/combined transportation of goods from Greece to Russia. The cargo is transported from Greece to Istanbul via road for the further loading into a container and shipping by a shipping line to the port of Novorossiysk.

Groupage cargo delivery (LTL) from Greece to Russia via Turkey. Available options: by sea, road, multimodal/combined transportation.
Delivery of samples from Greece to Russia can be arranged by any means of transportation. The fastest way is by air.
